Azure outage, malware in JWST images, floppy disks, Voyager 1, & more Spiceworks Originals.Have any of you fellow spice heads come across anything that is suitable? I have done a usual search but haven't really come up with anything other then Quick Look/View which doesn't appear to 'do' anything? The end user(s) have asked if there is anything out there where they can 'preview' a Quark file instead of having to actually convert each and every file to find the one they want (granted the files are all well labelled and documented but it would still speed up the process). Files with this extension can be opened by QuarkXPress five and earlier as well.

We have a work around using Markzware's Q2ID which rather neatly converts the Quark files to an InDesign CC2018 file (several versions of ID and Quark supported). QXD files are created using the QuarkXPress software for desktop publishing. Previously the clients were running Sierra or older and we had an old version of Quark (express8) installed- which is no longer compatible (not really surprising since its coming up 10 years old!). I have since flattened them and re-built from the bottom up to where they are now with the latest OS and only the applications they need AND more importantly bound into AD with local admin being us. To cut a long story short, our iMacs were 'wide open' with users having local admin rights to their machines and being able to install applications 'willy-nilly'.
